Design DecisionsGiving the organizer control
Most family or friend groups have an “organizer”. The person who makes the plans and keeps everyone on track. The app gives that person the tools to set up and manage the gift exchange, including the exchange date, spending limit, and number of gifts each participant can add to their wishlist.
Giving everyone their own space
The app keeps each participant’s wishlist organized within a shared group space. After accepting an invitation, users are given their own personal space where they can build a wishlist and claim gifts from other participants. This creates a simple way to keep everyone’s gift ideas together while making it easy to see what has already been claimed.
